Hardware

The iSAudioPlayer has a small, lightweight aluminium housing with easy connection options. The player can be programmed via the USB programming interface or network connection. A loudspeaker or iSHearo handset can be connected via Audio Out. As there is no integrated amplifier, an external amplifier can be connected in between as required.

Information on hardware-control stereo audio DAC

The new generation iSAudioPlayer 2.0 contains a TAD5242 hardware-control stereo audio DAC with 120dB dynamic range, and headphone and line driver.

The device supports playback of two channels using the high-performance stereo DAC. The device consists of two pairs of analog output pins (OUTxP and OUTxM) which can be configured in single-ended or differential input mode by setting MD4 and MD5 pins. The input source for these channels is from TDM/I2S/LJ interface. The table below shows the analog output configuration modes available with MD4 and MD5 pins.
