Groups and group types
Components can be logically combined into groups. This allows certain configurations and actions to be performed on entire groups of components rather than on each component individually, such configurations and actions
- easier for people to understand,
- maintainable with less effort and
- can be implemented error-free with less effort.
The configuration can also be further structured and refined by:
- group types (group categories) can be defined,
- Group types and groups can be defined or nested hierarchically.
This means, for example, that even complex media installations/exhibitions can be clearly depicted in several buildings, each with several floors and many different components:
